3. General Notes
----------------------------------------------------
o Asianux 2.0 Service Pack 5 only supports upgrading from
Asianux 2.0 Service Pack 4. An AXS2SP4 system updated through
TSN can also be updated if needed.

o Use the provided "/bin/update.sh" tool to update all the
installed packages on your current AXS2SP4 system (see
the readme.txt file on the DVD).

o New packages can be installed normally with the rpm
command. AXS2SP5 packages are located in the /RPMS
directory on the DVD.

----------------------------------------------------
4. Restrictions/Known Bugs
----------------------------------------------------
o BCM5787 Gigabit Ethernet controller can not get an IP address
from the DHCP server.
The following file needs to be edited in order to change the delay:

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/network-functions

Using VI to edit the file from a terminal:

vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/network-functions
269 while [ $timeout -le 10 ]; do

Change time from 10 to 40.

o SMP kernel is installed on virtual machine which is UP system.

o Wrong CPU information in /proc/cpuinfo for a Lynnfield machine
installed.

o Unwritable file which setuid/setgid bit on.

o Wrong value is set to some parameters (ex:siblings) in /proc/cpuinfo
with Nehalem processor. Use largesmp kernel to get correct value.

o Kernel cannot detect total physical memory size correctly on a machine
which has Nehalem processer and more than 2GB physical memory.
Specify a boot option like 'numa=acpi' for such case.

o Heavy workload to XFS partition makes the system reboot.
XFS is not recommended.

o xnetware cannot find out igb network driver.

o rfsysinfo doesn't list up SATA disks.
