Problem:

My NIC does not get an IP address from the DHCP server.

Solution:

In some cases, more time is needed to get an IP address from the DHCP server. Changing the delay value can help.

• Edit the following file: /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/network-functions

• Change the delay value (around line 319) from 'delay=10' to 'delay=40'.
